Hi,
some great ideas – which we are following up at the moment.
The aim is a more user friendly Forum which includes a PM system ALSO we are working on a rolling Live Text section for paying members, much along the lines of Twitter – the aim is time dated postings of between 2 & 300 characters.
The archive to be available page by page with…[Read more]

Hi,
I do appreciate the thought Bowman as the more thoughts and ideas the better as that will achieve two primary aims – firstly it will help crystalise ideas but more to the point it helps give better value for members.
I believe this web site will be a slow burn as it builds – not only builds in content but in members and from amongst members…[Read more]

Hi,
I understand that if you market this too successfully amongst IS Silver Members you will be able to recognise them in the street as taking too large and or too many doses it tends to turn tyhe skin blue – If you grow a tail then really worry you have joined the cast of ‘Avatar’!
To be more serious on the matter I well remember reading parts…[Read more]

Hi,
have you signed up for OUR FIRST WebInar
as it is our first time from this new WebSite IS, Bev & I have had a couple of practice runs – I tend to think they shouldn’t be called WebInars and a more apposite name might well be Tangled Wires – but to quote the cliche ‘No doubt it will be alright on the night’.
Please bear with us as we iron o…[Read more]

Greg replied to the topic Oil in the forum Personal Finance & Other Investments 5 years, 11 months ago
Hi,
it seems more likely that the Saudis would maintain oil prices and produce more if Iran introduced sanctions, out of antipathy for the Iranian regime.
All oil producers are trying to amass capital and diversify as although oil will NEVER run out the need for it will in the relatively near future be surplanted by Psi/Si technology – Look at…[Read more]

Greg replied to the topic Mark Carney: Politicizing the central bank OR Assessing all possibilities in the forum Suggestion Box 5 years, 11 months ago
Hi,
I have long held the belief that Carney is w2orking for himself and against the interests of Britain.
I believe he is contemplating a return to Canadian politics where he will be best served by having pleased the EU with his efforts for them whilst in the employ of Britain – Presumably by currying favour with the EU and the ECB he may well…[Read more]

Greg replied to the topic Are economists dimwitted? in the forum Chat with Greg 5 years, 11 months ago
Hi,
Ihave always considered economics to be little more than obfuscation of known facts with complex theories and the use of a little understood vocabulary based upon Humpty Dumpty’s belief that ‘words mean what I want them to mean’.
Economics is clearly not a science or more economists could be encacerated for abuse of scientific facts -…[Read more]

Greg replied to the topic Why invest in cryptocurrencies? in the forum Cryptocurrencies 5 years, 11 months ago
Hi,
I incline to the belief that Cryptos do have a long term future, as otherwise why would Governments be investing money in methods of taxing them.
The downside (besides the threat of taxation) is that for any individuals to make money in a given sector someone needs to loose money somewhere – very few situations are a net sum gain.

Hi,
do not be too concerned about ‘may you live in interesting times‘ a well established Chinese curse – it is merely a part of the human condition.
In their own ways time has been interesting at all times!
Consider the interesting speculation as to who forgot to bring the baby in before repairing to the cave, now that you can year the roar of…[Read more]

Hi,
do beware of the many Cryptocurrency Scams that are floating around on the internet – often falsely using the identity of well known individuals to seem to add credibility.

Hi,
with regard to confiscation and or Nationalisation – there is an omnipresent risk this could occur in a smaller & extreme economy – but sadly it doesn’t work.

Hi,
I well recall the fact that many a wealthy Chinese is inclined to put large amounts of money on the speed at which raindrops run down windows!
Crypto is a tad more stable for as long as it goes on raining in that sector & a few big players make the pace – Then?

Hi,
you MAY be able to track down a copy of the DVD – there were some available from a German source on the internet and it is always worth hunting around for a secondhand copy.
I doubt it will ever be available in the main stream sources again – far too prescient.
